SriLankan Airlines begins flights to Gan

Sri Lankan Airlines launched its second destination in Maldives, with the touching down of flight UL119 in Gan Island in Addu Atoll.
SriLankan will operate four weekly flights to Gan International Airport, direct from Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo.
SriLankan Airlines recently bagged the Leading International Airline to Maldives title at the prestigious Maldives Travel Awards. Sri Lanka’s national flag carrier currently connects the Maldivian capital Male’ to its extensive route network 21 times a week.
Gan International Airport is located in the Addu Atoll or Addu City and it is the southernmost atoll of the archipelago. The airport recent went for a major re-development including expansion of runway and facilities and SriLankan is the first and the only scheduled international airline to serve the spectacular destination.
